Bayit Yehudi Prepares its Coalition Wish List

The Bayit Yehudi Party has prepared its coalition wish list which includes one ministerial post, the elimination of education ministry demands on parents to make school payments, an added emphasis in the curriculum on matters of yiddishkeit in state schools, and permitting ‘natural growth’ construction in Yosh communities.

The party is also demanding the government address the needs of the expellees from Gush Katif, who remain in a difficult situation four years after being ousted from their homes.

  1. I dont know how realistic this is – the medina hates yidishkeit; last time lev levievtried to make the curriculum more authentic, they said it wasnt ‘pluralistic’ enough for these apikorsim – they want the apikorsus; it’s what the state lives on, i mean, think about it, if they teach them torah, they might realie that they(chilonim) are living empty worthless lives and ma actuall, heaven forfend, become religious!

  2. A big list for such a small party. They only got three votes. In most countries, they would be a minor party that dreams of someday getting into parliament.

Likud, with its similar platform on security issues, but a secular approach in most matters, got NINE TIMES the number of seats.
