Too many southern residents are concerned, beginning to feel that nothing has changed as a result of Operation Cast Lead as rocket attacks continue with an increasing frequency, a cause for alarm in the south.

If anyone had any doubt, it is now clear, that Hamas has not been stripped of its ability to launch unprovoked attacks into Israeli population centers, firing mortar shells, Kassam rockets and Katyusha rockets. A number of attacks were launched on Thursday, and in one attack during the night, the rocket landed short of its intended target, impacting in a PA (Palestinian Authority) area in Gaza.

Resident s are calling for the “swift, immediate and stern” response that was promised, explaining the government’s limited air strikes against empty buildings and tunnels do nothing to prevent rocket fire attacks and the limited response of politicians will chas v’sholom return the south to the days preceding Cast Lead.
