As talks towards forming a government continue, Binyamin Netanyahu sends Shas and Yahadut HaTorah the same message, that he will remain loyal and not turn his back on chareidi parties. The Likud leader explained he will not permit Yisrael Beitenu leader Avigdor Lieberman to enter the government and introduce coalition guidelines that are not palatable to the chareidi community.
Kadima however hasn’t thrown up its hands and Tzipi Livni met with Moshe Gafne in the hope of winning support. Gafne reportedly stated he will push for Kadima’s inclusion in a coalition with Likud, but the consolation prize did not seem to sit well with the Kadima leader.
