While the term “murderers” may sound somewhat harsh, Shas leader Eli Yishai on Monday called on the government to pardon Jewish murderers too, those Jews in prison for their ideologically motivated acts of taking the life of an Arab.
Yishai stated that as the government prepares to release 1,000 terrorists, some serving tens of life sentences for their heinous crimes, the system should also find a window of opportunity to do the same for the Jews serving prison terms, who unlike the Arabs, have expressed remorse for their actions.

this is a clear opportunity to allow jewish men to return to their families. Anyone who says the government cannot do it is obviously nuts.
Shas did NOT request to release “Jewish murderers”. Shas wanted the government to release “Jewish security prisoners”. Don’t twist the story to show your hatred of Shas, the only party that’s truly concerned with the citizens of Israel.
What does that mean? Why is “murderers” a harsh term for people such as Ami Popper, for instance? For “taking the life of an Arab”?
People who “took the life of an Arab” for good reason usually do not end up in jail. (Shai Dromi, or something like that, was an exception…)
People who do, usually are indeed murderers.
Yishei, these are not Jewish murderers they are Jewish defenders. When a terrorist enters the gates of a yishuv with a gun and is killed B”H by a Jewish resident that is not a murderer.
There are a few minute cases of Jews killing Arabs in anger after a terrorist attack, they are NOT considered people with BLOOD on their hand–no comparison to the Arabs in prison.
Since the arabs are often planning attacks to kill Jews – nobody knows when, where or how; there is definitely a halachic question whether ALL arabs could be considered a Rodef at all times…

YOU ARE TOTALLY CLUELESS about which Jewish men are prisoners in Israel and their innocence.
