While 65% of the public are in favor of a national unity government, 47% have indicated they want Binyamin Netanyahu as prime minister.
The survey, which was conducted after the election, shows 55% want to see Ehud Barak continue as defense minister, while 50% send Labor to the benches of opposition. 59% of the respondents are also calling for a return to the direct election of the prime minister system.
A Dahaf poll shows 45% of respondents prefer the president giving the coalition mandate to Netanyahu while 38% believe it should go to Livni.
