Yaakov Katz (Ketzaleh), who heads the Ichud HaLeumi list, on Thursday reached an agreement with Shas leader Eli Yishai which details how the two parties address certain issues.
It was decided that matters o Torah and halacha will be decided by Shas while matters pertaining to Eretz Yisrael will be deferred to Ichud HaLeumi.
According to a Kol Chai Radio report, Yahadut HaTorah remains ‘outside the loop’, unwilling to cooperate with anyone, seemingly involved in internal fighting between Degel HaTorah and Agudas Yisrael, which is the party’s norm. The radio report stated that there is rapidly growing disagreement between Yaakov Litzman, the Degel Faction and matters pertaining to coalition negotiations.

Can there be many matters of Eretz Yisrael that do not involve Torah and Halacha?
i think they might mean things like water control/ quality, electricity, gas, trade, commerce….
let’s see the bright side! achdut is beginning to sprout all around….let’s keep it up. we will need it to bring in the Geula.
