Maran Rav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv Shlita is reportedly pleased with the results of the election, the fall of the left-wing majority in Knesset.

Rav Elyashiv Shlita was taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Yerushalayim earlier in the week after complaining of a “heaviness on his chest”, diagnosed with pneumonia. On Thursday night, his condition had not yet stabilized despite intravenous antibiotics.

Gedolei HaDor Shlita continue calling to inquire as to Rav Elyashiv’s condition, including Maran Rav Shteinman Shlita and Chacham Ovadia Yosef Shlita. While the Rav is not permitted visitors due to his weakened condition, the Belzer Rebbe Shlita visited with the Rav on Thursday.

On Wednesday Yahadut HaTorah members visited the Rav on Wednesday, informing Rav Elyashiv of the election results. The Rav was pleased to hear that the left-wing majority in Knesset had diminished.
