SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*Today is day 23 of the Gaza ceasefire.

*Today, Thursday, is Gilad Shalit’s 960th day in Hamas captivity.

*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron arrested five suspects on Sunday night.

*Three firebombs were thrown as Jewish vehicles traveling on the Gush Etzion-Chevron Road near el-Aroub on Sunday night. There were no reports of injuries or damage.

*The IAF targeted empty Hamas positions in Gaza.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*In a Sunday evening meeting with a visiting French official, PM Ehud Olmert stated Israel will not tolerate a nuclear Iran.

*Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz calls for an appropriate response to Gaza violations of the ceasefire.

*Two Shas activists were slightly injured on Sunday after being attacked while hanging election posters in Bnei Brak.

*Furadis money changer found wounded by gunfire in area cemetery. He was robbed of NIS 70,000.
