While the High Court of Justice’s refusal to prevent a Brinks truck carrying NIS 175 million to make its delivery to Hamas in Gaza on Friday, it is no less painful for the opponents of the move, including the Land of Israel Front and activists working towards the release of Gilad Shalit.
The petition was filed on Thursday, seeking a restraining order to block the transfer, which the court turned down. The state maintained the money must be transferred as per agreements between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority), money used to pay salaries for 78,000 PA employees. Opponents argued this was another opportunity to bargain for Gilad Shalit’s release as well as pointing out there is no justification for Israel giving money which is used by Hamas to back terrorism.
The state also claimed that the decision was a political matter and the court’s interference was not within its judicial authority, adding such a move could have a negative impact on ongoing political processes.

This is truly disturbing! I would be incredibly surprised to be informed that the money really did go to the PA employees and not more artillery for the next plan of attack. When will they realize that the more we give the more we’ll have to give the next time.. There is no peace them until we wipe them out. We must strengthen our teffilos!
This boggles one’s mind!
