A soldier reported to police that he managed to avoid being stabbed by a male who was shouting at him in Arabic as he walked on a street in the Jaffa area of Tel Aviv.

According to the report, the soldier got off of a bus on Shivtei Yisrael Street at 7:45AM Sunday when an Arab carrying a knife began running towards him as he shouted in Arabic. The two struggled and ultimately, the attacker fled the scene.

Witnesses report the attacker was injured in his face during the struggle. The soldier sustained very light injuries. A large police force was sent to the area to launch a search for the attacker.
