Israelis Canceling Travel Plans to Turkey Following Anti-Israel Position

There is a reported 50% drop in bookings for Turkey, apparently the Israeli response to the anti-Israel position adopted by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Last summer, some 500,000 Israelis decided to visit Turkey but current signs indicate that number will be significantly less this coming summer.

According to Ronen Caruso, the deputy director of marketing for ISTA Israel, while the numbers are down, it is too soon to know with absolute certainty what the summer will bring.
