Betar Illit Councilman Uri Holtzman will head a fact-finding committee studying the poor mail service in the city. Mayor Meir Rubinstein ordered the establishment of the committee in the hope of bringing about a revolution in the city’s mail service, which today, by all accounts, is poor.
Uri Ofer, the Israel Postal Services man in charge of Yehuda and Shomron was invited to a recent meeting, requested to explain the phenomenon and to work towards bringing mail service in the community to an acceptable level.
Rav Holtzman is also calling on the city’s residents to begin documenting the problems they encounter regarding the mail service towards addressing the issues.
Anyone capable of documenting specific postal-related problems is urged to put the facts in writing and mail it to P.O.B. 220, Jerusalem or to the Postal Investigations Committee in Betar Illit, 38 Rabbi Akiva Street, Betar Illit.
