Due to the efforts of Rav Yisrael Porush, the mikve project on Rabi Meir Street in Elad is once again moving ahead and it is expected to be completed soon. Residents of the area welcome the announcement, stating they have been waiting years for the mikve in their area.
The project of the municipal mikve began about 18 months ago, but work was halted due to “differences of opinion and conflict”.
Upon entering his new post in Elad, Porush announced that he will do everything possible to move the mikve project ahead. Apparently, after meetings with the various parties involved, he succeeded in resolving the differences and the work towards completion is a reality. A meeting was held in Elad City hall with municipal leaders, at which time the contractor committed to resume construction within 10 days and to complete the project within six months.
Attention was also focused on the mikve project on Avtalyon Street and there too, construction will move ahead at a brisker pace towards completing as soon as possible.
