Ketzaleh Warns: Bibi Does Not Have What it Takes to Stand Up to White House

netanyahu_bibi.jpgBasing his statements on past performance, National Union Party leader Yaakov Katz (Ketzaleh) warns that Binyamin Netanyahu does not have what it takes to stand up to the administration of US President Barak Obama and if he is not supported by a strong right-wing coalition, Netanyahu will cave in to the left-wing.

Ketzaleh, viewed as the architect behind Yishuv Bet El, its torah institutions and the multi-lingual Arutz-7 News agency, accuses the United States of trying to meddle in the upcoming general election process by sending Mideast envoy George Mitchell at this time, immediately following the US elections and about 2 weeks ahead of the elections in Israel.

Katz states we must remind America that “Israel is not a colony and not a 53rd state”.

Calling the American move a “chutzpah,” Ketzaleh explains that it is abundantly clear to all that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is completing his last days in office and now is not the time for America to seek to sign deals with a prime minister and cabinet in their final days in office.

Ketzaleh is close to Rav Mordechai Eliyahu Shlita, and his associates’ stress he has always adhered to da’as torah and will continue doing so in Knesset.

It should be reminded that as prime minister, Netanyahu went to the Wye Plantation Summit with then US President Bill Clinton and he did indeed collapse under pressure, agreeing to sign the deal with the release of Jonathan Pollard.

People close to the events explain that Pollard’s release was part of the deal but at the tend, the prime minister accepted the poor advise of then senior minister Yitzchak Mordechai, opting to ignore the pleadings of another minister, Natan Sharansky, a former Prisoner of Zion.

It is also Netanyahu who handed Chevron over to the PA (Palestinian Authority), and who in the past has shown a cold shoulder to the needs of the chareidi community.
