During a visit to southern Israel on Tuesday, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert made reference to efforts to obtain the release of Gilad Shalit. The prime minister stated that the government continues to work towards achieving this goal, adding he hopes Shalit’s release can be accomplished “as quickly as possible but the price will however be extremely high”.
“We will not remain silent or rest until he is home” stated the prime minister during a tour of southern IDF command posts, accompanied by Defense Minister Ehud Barak and IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi.
The senior officials had words of praise for IDF Southern District Commander Major-General Yoav Gallant, Southern Division Commander Brigadier-General Eyal Eisenkott, and a number of battalion commander, all of whom playing a major role in the Gaza War.

This high “price” he is referring to, is it by any chance in terms of Arab lives?
Why when the army was in gaza didnt they say that they wouldnt leave without shalit making them pay a high price, instead of now us having to pay a high price?
…and this time, Mr.Olmert, you need to assure that he is indeed alive BEFORE you pay the “high price.” Yes, kever yisroel is important, but not important enough to release BABY MURDERERS.
I thought that these people were against anything disproportionate. So why should it cost so much?
