11:00AM IL: I spoke with Effie, Li’el Cohen’s father a short time ago and he thanked me for telephoning an inquiring regarding his son’s condition.

As was reported earlier by YWN, Li’el, a member of Golani Brigade, was critically wounded in Gaza. He remains in “very serious” condition with a head injury, Effie confirms.

Today, Monday, between 12:00-2:00pm, Li’el is scheduled to undergo a complicated neurosurgical procedure intended to reduce his cranial fracture in the hope of preventing leakage of cranial fluid as is the case today.

Effie is calling on the global Jewish community to please continue davening on behalf of his son, especially today during the surgery, which doctors predict will last for 1.5-to-2 hours, hopefully not longer.

Am Yisrael is requested to daven for Li’el Hoshea ben Miriam.
