Senior Defense Ministry official Amos Gilad is not traveling to Egypt on Monday to continue ceasefire talks as planned. According to a predawn news report, Gilad may travel on Tuesday but this is yet uncertain. The reason for the postponement is not being reported although it appears it may be tied to ongoing Israeli pressure on Hamas to take steps towards accepting and honoring a ceasefire.
Towards achieving this goal, IDF reservists have joined the Gaza operation to increase the intensity of the ongoing military operation in the hope of bringing the terror organization to its knees.
