There are 300 Holocaust survivors living in southern rocket-stricken areas and according to social workers seeking who are assisting the elderly residents, the sirens, the lack of an ability to shop and tend to their most basic needs have ricocheted them back to WWII.
Social workers report these elderly residents are at high emotional risk, and in addition, many lack the funds for basic needs, even toilet paper.
Most of the members of this population are in areas without proper fortification and many, if not most, are too elderly to make it to shelters in the allotted time between sirens and impact.
