10:56AM IL: According to confirmed preliminary reports, rockets for a second time on Thursday are falling in northern Israel. Sirens and explosions are being heard in the areas of Shlomi and Nahariya.
11:09AM IL: There do not appear to be any injuries as a result of a second wave of Katyusha rocket attacks into northern Israel. Residents are remaining near safe rooms and shelters at this time as the impact locations in the western Galil have not been found. Officials are not ruling out the possibility that the explosions were sonic booms but area residents reject the explanation, stating they are too experienced and know the difference between the sounds, insisting the explosions in the Nahariya area were indeed rocket explosions.
IAF helicopter gunships are operating over southern Lebanon. Hizbullah al-Manar TV is showing UNIFIL and Lebanese army troops patrolling in increased numbers, apparently in an effort to locate the launch locations. Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora released a message that both the rocket fire into northern Israel and the Israeli retaliatory fire into southern Lebanon are a violation of UN Resolution 1701, the Second Lebanon War ceasefire. Siniora is demanding the Lebanese army investigate the two rocket firing incidents occurring today, Thursday.
11:22AM IL: Police and IDF officials are now reporting with absolute certainty that the last wave of explosions were due to sonic booms, not another rocket attack. Authorities do not offer an explanation for the increased troop movements in S. Lebanon, reportedly searching for launch locations.
