19:30 IL: Senior military correspondent Ehud Ya’ari reports on Channel 2 TV News that the IDF has dropped flyers in the Rafiach area of southern Gaza, the Philadelphi Road area, instructing residents to leave their homes by 8:00am Thursday morning.
One may assume from this that the IAF is planning a major operation towards targeting the Philadelphi Road, the primary conduit for weapons smuggling from Egypt into Hamas-controlled Gaza.
UPDATE 19:50 IL: Seeking to confirm the reports that flyers were dropped in the Rafiach area, IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen. Avi Benayahu was asked to which he responded, “it is indeed possible. I do not personally know of such an event in that area during the past half hour, but it is entirely possible since we are taking steps to warn civilians in many areas.”

nochamol, you are right in a normal case, however here, they have another war front, namely PR, which is why they are notifying the “bnai chamor” people. But we know they won’t listen and they may defy the instructions in an effort to defeat the Israelis on the PR front.
