MK Prof. Aryeh Eldad, a physician, sent an urgent letter to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, calling upon him to shut down UN Relief & Works Agency (UNRWA). Prof. Eldad explains that UNRWA has been serving as a training ground for hate over the past 60 years and it is time to bring an end to the organization.

“It is a breeding ground for warfare and hate” he explained, and it is time that the doors of this organization be shut for good. He told Israel Radio that the UNRWA school was being used to launch mortar shell attacks as per the IDF reports, adding that if rockets are fired from Shifa Hospital in Gaza, it too is a legitimate target.

Eldad decried the hypocrisy of the international community, which condemns the tank fire on the UN school but there is a deafening silence regarding the continued use of humanitarian structures such as the Shifa Hospital as a storehouse for weapons and a host for underground bunkers for senior Hamas command.
