Many chareidi families have temporarily left Ashdod due to the situation. They were horrified to learn from neighbors that during the night, a number of homes were targeted by burglars. In area Gimmel, the homes of a number of avreichim were targeted. In some case, the doorways were broken to gain entry and damage to the home was reported to be extensive.

Lachish police in response to the report sated that are unaware of any increase in burglaries which may be attributed to the current situation.
