At least one person was injured by shrapnel as two rockets landed in Ashkelon a short time ago. A vehicle was significantly damaged in the attack when the rocket landed 7 meters (yards) away and it appears the driver of that vehicle was the victim.
President Shimon Peres was visiting the city when rockets came down this morning. His first stop was the city’s situation room, a well-fortified underground structure. He then visited victims in hospital and then a kindergarten in a fortified shelter. As the president was in the shelter the sirens went off. The president’s security personnel prohibited Mr. Peres from leaving and the report of his visit was only permitted after he left the area.
In Beersheva, over 40 people have been treated for hysteria in Soroka Medical Center on Wednesday morning. IDF artillery is pounding terrorist targets in Gaza together with combat helicopters.

I’m obviously glad Mr. Peres is ok but maybe its fitting for this Oslo and Disengagement criminal to expereience the result of his actions.
How fitting. Most of the tzarus from the Oslo War and the Gush Katif disengagement are due to Mr Peres. The problem is as Chazal say “reshaim afilu b’pischan shell gehenom einam shavim”. He will never learn.
