At least one Katyusha rocket landed in a neighborhood in Beersheva a few moments ago. According to MDA Director-General, residents report a building was hit, unknown if there are injuries at this time.

UPDATE 9:14PM IL: Two Grad Katyusha rockets landed in Beersheva, with one landing in an open area and the second striking an empty kindergarten building. One woman is being treated for hysteria. Residents of the capital of the Negev are being asked to adhere to Homefront Command instructions.

UPDATE 9:16PM IL: The attack a short time ago represents the first time Beersheva has been hit by rocket fire from Gaza, with Hamas making good on its promise to expand its striking range. A fire has erupted in a building as a result of the rocket impact. There are no reports of physical injuries.
