Officials in the IDF’s Tzeilim Base are indeed ready for the processing of reservists who are expected to be activated in the coming days. Hundreds of standing army soldiers and officers were called back to their base on Shabbos, and officers in artillery, armored corps and infantry reserve units were placed on alert, instructed to prepare for a call-up. These are units that during the past year were involved in training exercises to prepare them for Gaza warfare.

In Tzeilim, the base is operating under a state of emergency and pilots and other air force personnel were already activated before the weekend, with some of the reservists taking part in the first day of Operation Cast Lead. Other reservists already called to action were small numbers of personnel from the Homefront Command and medical corps.
