Attorney General Menachem Mazuz has ordered Israel Police to launch an investigation into alleged foul play in last week’s Kadima Party primaries. Kadima officials deny any the allegations. Mazuz was acting on a complaint filed by Ahmed Hasson, who insists there was foul play in the primary elections.
Mazuz has instructed police to investigate, announcing after receiving the report from police, he will decide if a criminal indictment is warranted.
Kadima officials responding to the report adamantly denied any wrongdoing, stating their party primaries were as orderly and legal as possible, stressing the computerized voting system is beyond reproach.
