Agudas Yisrael’s Committee of Six met against on Tuesday for a fourth time to discuss the party’s lineup for the upcoming general election for the 18th Knesset. The Tuesday afternoon meeting was held in the Yerushalayim office of Meir Porush, on Press Street, including committee members Litzman, Zeibert, Porush, Pollack, Miller, Halpert and the elder Porush, Rav Menachem Porush Shlita.
The meeting was considerably longer than anticipated, discussing two major issues, 1) a guaranteed slot for a Belzer chossid representative and 2) Degel HaTorah.
It was decided to make a last appeal to Degel to make a final decision if it prefers to run under a joint ticket as in the past or if the decision to run independently is final.
Realizing the final lists must be submitted no later than Sunday, the decision was made to convene on Tuesday for a fourth time, it appears the letter sent to Degel discusses running under the UTJ slate as in the past, without any preconditions.
Regarding the Belz candidate, he will receive the sixth slot and in the event the party does not get enough seats, a rotation will be implemented to accommodate the Belzer candidate. Whatever the results may be, it will not be reflected in the deal made with Belze.

“Rotation” means that Agudah is going in circles.
When the say “Rotation”, it means the Agudah is going in circles.
If Becheerot means hard feelings amongst frum jews, who needs the whole ordeal. It may be time to scrap all frum parties and have the secular parties run after us, as R’ Grylak in the Mishpacha, makes mention to the article written by Harav Weinfeld Z”l
