“This morning, I was waiting for the school bus and suddenly I heard the Color Red warning and we ran into a stairwell since there was no real shelter nearby.”
11-year-old kibbutz resident Inbal Lieberman explained that she is really scared now, more than in the past. When asked if she remembers the first time she heard the warning, she explained “I was really young, too young to remember”.
“My little brother is really scared” explains Inbal, who added that tonight; the candle lighting will be home since they cannot go outside.
Inbal went on to explain that she is used to running when she hears the warning, giving her a little time to seek cover before the explosion. This is the only life she knows and while she does not like it, she insists on going about her daily routine, as much as the situation permits.
