‎8:00AM IL: At least seven Kassam rockets and one mortar shell were launched into southern Israel on Wednesday morning. Baruch Hashem, no injuries have been reported but needless to say, southern area residents are having increasing difficulty going about their daily routines with the continued increase in frequency of attacks.

The air force during the night targeted a Kassam launcher and Defense Minister Ehud Barak announced that Gaza crossings will remain closed on Wednesday as a result of the continued attacks.

Quite honestly, the atmosphere among many southern residents is one of despair, unable to comprehend how the defense minister and the other members of the cabinet permit an area of the country to remain under constant threat from over the border, continuing to issue statements of warning, which are obviously unheeded by Hamas, yet seem incapable of ordering a military response by the Greater Sderot Area is being destroyed by constant rocket fire.
