230 Terrorists & ‘Security Prisoners’ to be Released on Tuesday as Shalit Left to Rot

pap.jpgIsrael on Tuesday, as a good-will measure coinciding with the Muslim Feast of the Sacrifice, will be releasing 230 imprisoned Arabs, described by the cabinet as lower-level terrorists and “security prisoners” who do not have “blood on their hands”.

The “lower-level” terrorists are as follows: 60 were imprisoned for attempted murder or for their part in causing the death of innocent victims. The only reason some do not have blood on their hands is their diabolical plots were not actualized. 19 of them live in Hamas-controlled Gaza, and they will be sent back to Gaza, to enable them to resume terror attacks against Israel.

Public Security Minister Avi Dichter stated at the cabinet meeting on Sunday that sending them back to Gaza is meaningless since the proclamation they signed not to engage in terror is null and void when they are sent back to Gaza.

Family members of Gilad Shalit painfully point out that their son this week will mark 900 days in Hamas captivity, and the government and the prime minister generously continue unilateral good-will measures to the PA while Gilad languishes in Hamas-controlled Gaza. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert this week assured the nation, explaining the release of prisoners to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) is not connected in any way to Shalit, and his administration is continuing earnest efforts to obtain the soldier’s release.

Since Gilad was taken prisoner, over 1,200 terrorists were released by Israel, explains Noam, his father, who points out that the continued release of prisoners to Abu Mazen has only served to encourage Hamas to raise its price for Gilad’s freedom, well-aware Israel can be compelled into making concessions.

As of 13:00 on Monday, reports indicate the release of the terrorists may be on hold until next Monday, December 15th, as per a request from PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen). No reason is being given or the delay.

  1. One might ask “IF they don’t have blood on their hands”, why were they arrested to begin with? Is it because they don’t approve of the Israeli government’s policies and said so? If they engaged in violent acts, they are terrorists. If they engaged in civil disobedience, or merely criticized the government, they are “political prisoners” who shouldn’t have been arrested. Indeed, the Israeli government routinely arrests Arab dissidents, why are we surprised that they arrest Jewish dissidents. Governments that can’t tolerate criticism usually don’t care who the critic was (for example, if you complained that Stalin was a fool, it didn’t make any difference if you were a czarist or a trotskyite).

  2. #1, you ask a good question but then you take a crooked turn down a crooked road by answering your question with your own faulty conclusion.

The article states what these criminals were charged with: Attempted murder. Nothing was said about civil disobedience. You are reconstructing the facts to serve your peferred argument.

Further, do you really think the Arab Party in the Knesset is in line with the Jewish parties? Israel handles and tolerates dissent more than it should.

By the way, some of those released will need a temporary place to stay. I suppose you would not mind doing a goodwill gesture and have them as guests in your home with your family.

  3. #2 – they all have a place to stay and families lobbying for their release (that’s behind Olmert’s purported strategy).

Which leave the question, if they don’t have blood on their hands, why are they being arrested? If they do have blood on their hands, why are they being released?

In part the answer is found in how the Israeli government treats Orthodox Jews who oppose it, such as the recent in event in Hevron. The Israeli government considers it “normal” to arrest people for opposing its policies, which albeit is the norm in much of the Middle East, but not in the U.S.

  4. Fool of all fools Mr. Olmert.
Now it is easy to understand the actions of Pharah during the ten plagues, ‘no no no I will not let them go’, WHY? cause gd hardened his heart. Here we see the exact opposite the only reason that Olmert could allow the release of these prisoners and add to the terror manpower squads is because gd is hardening his heart.

  5. Olmert is the biggest foolish head state leader)in recent history. He has lost his mind. The terrorists love him. Perhaps he should live in Gaza with his friends when he retires, which I wish, were yesterday. He would make a good leader for Hamas.
