Forecasters predict another week without rain accompanied by unseasonably warm and dry temperatures. In fact, the November rainfall in most areas was far less than the norm. Along the coast temperatures are expected to reach 30C (86F) today, and relative humidity is expected to drop to 10%-20%.
Rainfall in November was quite low; with meteorologists reporting in the coastal and mountainous areas there was almost no rainfall to speak of. In the Golan Heights and eastern Galil rainfall was about half of a regular year, but in the western and northern Galil rainfall was higher than a regular November.
In conclusion, in the center and southern areas, rainfall measured 40-80% of a regular year and in the north and Kinneret areas, rainfall in November was 50-80% and sadly, the Kinneret did not gain at all. The Beersheva region received 45% of regular November rainfall.

Heat wave? My apartment (in yerushalayim) is an icebox. I haven’t stopped shivering this week.
The Chief Rabbinate is calling for the additional prayer for rain to be recited in Shema Koleinu. Does anyone know if the chareidi Rabbanim are also calling for this?
Rebetzin – Israeli apartments are built to be cool, as the temperatures during the majority of the year can be quite high. In the winter, it is often warmer outside than inside…
