Golan Heights Druse Residents Take Part in Support Rally for Arch Terrorist

Hundreds of members of the Druse community in the Golan Heights and other supporters on Monday took part in a march along the border in support of Samir Kuntar, the arch terrorist released by Israel a number of months ago in the Regev-Goldwasser prisoner exchange deal with Hizbullah. Simultaneously, in Syria, Kuntar and supporters held a similar event.

Also present on the Israeli side was MK (National Democratic Assembly) Said Naffaa as well as Sheikh Raid Salah, a senior figure in the Israel Islamic Association. They waved Lebanese and Syrian flags, and Salah vowed “to continue the struggle”.

On the Syrian side, Kuntar said, “Syrian President Assad asked me to tell you that soon, he will personally come to the Israeli side of the Golan waving a Syrian flag”.
