A resident of Shavei Shomron was listed in moderate condition on Tuesday morning with gunshot wounds to his lower extremities and abdomen.

On Monday, he stopped his SUV near the Arab village of Fundek to discuss business with locals. According to reports, police believe the shooting and subsequent theft of the contactor’s SUV was a criminal event, and not a terror attack.

The victim was fired upon and the perpetrators made off with his vehicle. He received initial emergency medical aid in a clinic in nearby Kedumim and was then flown in a military chopper to a Sharon area hospital where he is recuperating.
