The governing committee of the National Religious Party will convene on Tuesday in what they hope will be a successful vote to dissolve the 52-year-old party to permit the formation of the new right-wing bloc.
Two other members of the new yet-unnamed entity have already done so, the Moledet and Tekumah parties.
For NRP leader Zevulun Orlev the decision is actually quite simple, albeit no less painful, with polls indicating the current party running alone in the general elections may not even pass the minimum threshold of votes to enter the 18th Knesset.
