Netanyahu Committed to Palestinian Prosperity

Opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu has apparently adopted the long-time policy of President Shimon Peres, to work to improve the PA (Palestinian Authority) economy, explaining such a move will advance the peace.

In his address on Sunday to the General Assembly of the United Jewish Communities, held in the Jerusalem Convention Center, the premiership hopeful explained that if elected to run the next government, his cabinet would implement policies aimed at improving the economy for PA residents prior to entering into any agreement. He explained Hamas brings poverty and brings life to institutions that perpetuate poverty. Such a people are quick to follow Islamic extremists he explained. He explained we must change their lives from the foundation as an integral step towards peace.

Netanyahu hopes to enlist the support for his plan with Britain’s foreign secretary, with whom he is meeting in Jerusalem on Monday.
