Workers at Tel Aviv’s Ben-Gurion International Airport on Sunday night returned to their posts following a three hour strike. The decision followed a personal request from Histadrut National Labor Federation head Ofir Eini. Labor and management will be returning to the negotiating table in the hope of reaching an agreement.
Strike leaders warn that if an agreement is not forthcoming, they will strike once again, stating they do not plan to permit the current situation to continue indefinitely.
Due to the Sunday afternoon walkout, there were delays in takeoffs and baggage handling for a number of hours.
