Residents of Bet HaShalom in Chevron and supporters are not planning to comply with the Supreme Court ruling to evacuate the building without a fight.
An urgent meeting was held following the court’s ruling on Sunday, at which it was decided that supporters will begin the battle on Tuesday, ahead of the three-day deadline following which the state may forcibly evict the dozens of residents from the four-story structure.
A number of lawmakers have announced they too plan to join the battle, decrying the court’s decision to evict the Jews from the building despite having legally acquired the property.
Shas MK Nissim Ze’ev has already announced he is relocating his residence to Bet HaShalom and he plans to take part in the struggle that has been the live of the renewed Jewish presence in Chevron.
