At least 14 rockets have landed in the Greater Sderot Area and Ashkelon on Friday morning. Three children are being treated for hysteria in Barzilai Hospital. There are numerous reports of property damage as well.
Not having a moment to acclimate to his new post, Sderot Mayor David Buskila has been dealing with the steady stream of rockets since this week’s election. He issued a statement on Friday morning calling on the national government to do what it takes to bring a halt to the attacks originating from northern Gaza.
Some of the rockets that landed on Friday morning were Katyusha, not Kassam rockets.
Shas leader Deputy Prime Minister Eli Yishai called for cutting off water and electricity to Gaza until the attacks come to a halt. Minister of Religious Services (Shas) Yitzchak Cohen is calling for an urgent cabinet meeting to discuss the current escalation in attacks.
In a related matter, the London-based al-Quds al-Arabi quoting senior sources in Gaza reports that Egypt has frozen all talks pertaining to the release of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit until after the elections in Israel, scheduled for February 10th. In addition, there are reports from Gaza stating some feel Defense Minister Ehud Barak may seek to step up responses to attacks before the election to improve his position. This is also a factor they say towards the decision to freeze Shalit talks.

Cut their power off, cut their water off let them rot in the dry dark. Maybe their people on the other side of the Suez will help them …like hell they will they don’t want them either!! For each rocket fired 10 days in the dark without water should be a fine start!!

Go into Gaza and RAZE the place to the ground, just like the US troops do when in danger. Get rid of all the self-hating government leaders and fight this fight.
Hold some serious ‘Yimai Tefilah’ for our brothers in Israel and mend our ways.

I completely concur with stan the man except use more severe measures of rules of engagement than US troops are currently allowed to us.
They celebrated the election of Obama by resuming rocket attacks. They know about Obama’s ties to William Ayers. They are betting on Obama being more sympathetic to the terrorrists than to the Israelis.

#6, Flatbush Bubby, I have to respectfully disagree. I have direct knowledge from those with Lebanese family members that the American- arab world is very upset with Obama, As are their relatives in the Middle East.
The word is they thought his association with shiek kalidi, (McCain too had an association), would give them an advantage. They are upset that Obama made his chief of staff not only a Jew, but one with stronger zionist leanings than Joe Lieberman.
Why is Israel still letting these criminals in to our hospitals, giving them supplies, money. They want their own State, so they should look after themselves. Turn off the power, they won’t even be able to contact international reportes, and in about 2 weeks there should be a lot less of them around!!!
Every time one of those things lands, they should flattan a Gaza Strip high rise. That might have an effect. Pave the place.
