Education Ministry officials have transferred monthly funds to mosdos torah, NIS 400 per bachur and NIS 720 per avreich. MK Moshe Gafne attributes the move due to intensive efforts towards achieving this goal as well as the ministry’s comptroller, Shimon Hechster working to release the funds and not to withhold payment again.

Next month is the final month of this year’s annual budget, and there is a NIS 20 million deficit towards making the same monthly payment. Gafne is continuing efforts to find the funds to ensure the payment will be forthcoming.
