France’s President Calls for the Construction of the Mideast Highway

While progress on Mideast peace agreements may be slow, French President Nicolas Sarkozy is not deterred, announcing his master plan for a Mideast Highway that would connect all the countries in the area, including Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Libya and Tunisia.

The new highway Sarkozy envisions would run along the coast of the Mideast nations and extend all the way to Europe. He feels the multi-billion euro project is capable of connecting countries who share the Mediterranean coast, all the way to France.
