Police were attacked with rocks and firebombs in the Silwan neighborhood of the eastern capital. Police were protecting work crews sent to raze illegal structures. Police responded with stun grenades and teargas. A total of five policemen sustained light injuries.

Authorities managed to talk a family out of a home slated for demolition and police restored order to the area permitting the demolition process to move ahead.
