A bill intended on preventing election polls during the four-day period preceding a party’s primary election passed its second and third readings in the Knesset Law Committee on Tuesday. A violation will result in a NIS 67,300 fine.
Committee chair MK (Kadima) Menachem Ben-Sasson stated that in light of the widespread support for the bill, he hopes to bring it to Knesset this week for approval, seeking to have the bill passed into law in time for the upcoming primary races for the 18th Knesset.
