Another chareidi MK is about to take the oath of office, but this time, the MK will not be a member of Degel HaTorah, Agudah or Shas, but the radical left-wing Meretz Party. The MK is a female, Dr. Tzvia Greenfeld.
Greenfeld will be replacing Dr. Yossi Beilin, who last week announced he was leaving politics.
While she is most controversial in the chareidi community, she did gain widespread notoriety after publishing her book, “Hem Mifachadim” (They are Afraid), which levels sharp criticism against the chareidi leaders of today.

Some day, perhaps in our lifetime, all the Jewish parties in Israel will be dominated by Orthodox Jews, since there won’t be all that many non-frum Jews left. It’s a simple function of demographics.
