There has been a lot a back-and-forth regarding the candidacy of Rav Meir Porush in the Jerusalem mayoral race among the chareidi rabbonim but at the end of the day, he enjoys the support of the chareidi community in the upcoming municipal election.
In Sunday’s Yated Neeman, this is made extremely clear, stating Maran Rav Elyashiv Shlita calls on followers to cast their ballots for the United Torah Judaism list. Yated states that the chareidi public must always select a Shomer Shabbos candidate over the not-frum candidate and in the case of Yerushalayim this is even more important in an effort to preserve kedushas Yerushalayim.
Conspicuously absent perhaps was a similar endorsement from Hamodia, which may still appear.

hamodia wont endorse him because ger is not voting for him
It’s time that everyone recognizes that everyone has equal rights in the agudah. It’s not doesn’t belong to one party. It belongs to everyone equally. Ashrecha R’ Meir! Keep up the good work from taf shin mem tes.
Attention everyone:Beware! They better make sure everyone has the right id when they vote. If not the whole har hazeisim will be casting their ballots.
To veyatziv:
Without Har Hazeisim he doesn’t have a chance.
It’s unbelievable.
If you read the HaModia it is as though there is no mayoral race at all in Yerushalaiim.
They ignore it completely.
It is ostensibly supposed to be the official Agudah paper.
Yet it is clearly controlled by Ger who think they should control everything and everyone.
What a sad situation.
HaModia should have a full-spectrum editorial board (even if just all chassidim) or close down.
chelkas prushim may not have a chance but chelkas poilin would definitely have a chance
