Rav Mordechai [Tzemach ben Mazel Tov] Eliyahu’s condition has taken a turn for the worse on Thursday resulting in an emergency CAT scan. Physicians fear the Rav may have suffered another stroke.

The Rav underwent emergency open heart surgery on Monday, the result of complications during a catheterization procedure in Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Yerushalayim.

On Wednesday, the Rav did put on tefillin, showing some improvement. At 11:0pm Wednesday night, a major tefilla was held at the Kosel on the Rav’s behalf.

Am Yisrael is requested to continue davening on his behalf.
