The Movement for Quality Government has turned to the Ministry of Education to halt NIS 170 million in funding for talmudei torah, which the organization states is against the law.

The movement maintains that such a sum cannot be given without prior approval of the Knesset. Therefore, the organization is seeking to bring a halt to what it views as illegal funding.
