According to an IDF report, settlers began pelting Arabs who were harvesting their olive trees near the Shomron community of Yitzhar. Three Arabs were injured. The IDF responded with deterrence gunfire to distance the Jews from the area.

Arabs accuse Jews of the rock-throwing attacks as well as destroying 15 olive trees in the village of Borin where the violence took place. The army appears to be supporting the Arab version of the events in this case.

Army officials report there was never any direct contact between the two sides involved in the skirmish. Police also removed farmers who were harvesting olives close to Yitzhar, whom they say were in the area without prior arrangement and without authorization.
