POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*Chava Ben-Yizri, the wife of Health Minister Yaakov Ben-Yizri of the Pensioners Party, was niftar on erev Yom Kippur. The couple returned from a memorial service for fallen tank corps soldiers, including their son Aryeh Z”L, when she did not feel well. The 79-year-old minister’s wife died on erev Yomtov in Meir Hospital and will be laid to rest on erev Shabbos at noon.

*A man about 40 fell from a third story while building a sukka on Zichron Yaakov Street in Yerushalayim on motzei Yom Kippur. He was transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in moderate condition.

*A 53-year-old man was reported in serious condition after being bitten by a snake in Kibbutz Lavi on motzei Yom Kippur. He was transported to Poriah Hospital in Tiveria.
