Aides to billionaire Arkadi Gaydamak, a contender in the Jerusalem mayoral race, are advising him to change his name to avoid confusion. The reason behind the suggestion is due to the fact that on his official identity card his name appears as Aryeh Bar-Lev.
 
The official name, Bar-Lev, which appears on his ID card, is the name that will appear on the voting ballots.
 
Aides to the mayoral hopeful explain this will lead to much confusion and voters may not realize Bar-Lev is indeed Gaydamak.
