*IDF soldiers operating in PA-controlled Jenin on Monday night uncovered six pipe bombs and a 13 centimeter (6 inch) knife. The soldiers came under enemy fire. Baruch Hashem there were no injuries. The bombs were neutralized in controlled explosions without incident.

*‘Eran’ psychological hotline officials report a marked increase in calls from men who lost all their savings in the stock market and are afraid to tell their wives and families.
*In an update to the Monday acid attack in a Haifa unemployment services office, the 44-year-old woman in custody told police she was so angered over the fact that no one can find her work; she threw the caustic substance at the two employees of the office.
*PM Olmert is in Russia where he hopes to make a deal towards halting the sale of advanced weaponry to Syria, including the S-300 anti-aircraft system.
*Marking 35 years since the 1973 Yom Kippur War, a memorial ceremony was held in Latrun on Monday to remember the fallen from the IDF’s Tank Corps. Defense Minister Ehud Barak addressed the event, telling the participants that “we will do everything possible to bring tank corps soldier Gilad Shalit back home.”
*Tzfas: 10 people were lightly injured when a commercial vehicle turned over early Tuesday afternoon.
